Olonets territory is located in the south of the republic. The town of Olonets and the surrounding rural settlements provide a different experience of Karelia than the rocky islands of Northern Ladoga: cultural history, rural landscape and connections to Karelian tradition are important here.

Start with a walk around the city and a museum program, then choose a trip to a specific village. Agree on hours and tour availability in advance: a small museum or workshop may be open by appointment. Do not transfer the holiday program from previous years to the current trip without confirmation from the organizer.

When moving or choosing a business site, check not only the distance to the federal road, but also the last entrance, utility networks, land conditions and access to services.
